FAQ
Straight answers for small HR teams worldwide evaluating evidence-based resume screening.
- What is ReviewStack?
- ReviewStack is AI-assisted resume review with evidence — humans make the hiring call. You confirm a rubric, score a batch with evidence quotes from each resume, and decide who to advance — the product never auto-rejects.
- Who is ReviewStack for?
- Small HR teams and solo recruiters who need bulk resume review with transparent criteria and source quotes — not fully automated rejection pipelines. The product UI is English-first with Chinese available in-app. Pricing is in USD via Paddle.
- Is ReviewStack available worldwide?
- Yes for most small teams that can pay in USD and use a modern browser. We are a global SMB tool, not a certified enterprise compliance product. If you need guaranteed EU/US-only AI processing, GDPR DPA packaging, or regulated-industry controls, contact support before relying on the service for those requirements.
- Does ReviewStack auto-reject candidates?
- No. ReviewStack never auto-rejects or auto-hires. Scores are decision support only.
- How much does ReviewStack cost?
- Paid plans are $59/month for 500 resume analyses. Top-ups are $19 per 100 analyses (subscribers only). Free trial includes 10 analyses and 1 active job, no card required. Tax/VAT calculated at checkout via Paddle. List prices are pre-tax.
- What counts as one analysis?
- Quota is reserved when a batch starts. It settles (is kept) when a successful analysis result is produced, or when a billable provider call succeeds in that run—paid OCR or a scoring-model completion—even if the final result fails or is incomplete. Exact duplicates and pure parse failures with no billable provider work release the reservation. Retrying a failed resume reserves a new unit. Rubric generation does not consume analysis quota (limited to 5 successful generations per job per UTC day).
- What file types are supported?
- PDF and DOCX, up to 100 files per batch, 10 MB and 20 pages each. Searchable-text PDFs extract directly. Scanned or image-based PDFs can be processed with OCR when that capability is enabled on the service. Encrypted or corrupt files are rejected.
- How long are resumes retained?
- Resume files and derived analysis results are retained for 90 days from first successful upload unless you delete the job or account earlier. Notifications are retained for 30 days.
- Who processes my data?
- Authentication is provided by Clerk (Google). Application data is stored in Convex. Before scoring, we apply lightweight deterministic redaction (e.g. emails/phones), then AI providers process resume and job text to generate rubrics and scores — that processing may occur outside your country. Optional OCR for image PDFs uses a separate document-intelligence provider when configured. Payments are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record. See the Privacy Policy. - Is ReviewStack an ATS alternative?
- No. ReviewStack is a focused resume review tool for screening with evidence. It is not an applicant tracking system and does not replace sourcing, interview scheduling, or offer workflows.
- How do I get support?
